Galen Parke P.E.

Galen grew up on a farm in Northern Vermont. From a young age he worked side by side with his father on the farm, on carpentry projects and other ventures. In 2000 he moved west to Bozeman, MT, where he established residency and attended Montana State University. In Bozeman he earn his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from MSU. In college he spent a year abroad at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch New Zealand, where exposure to the Civil Engineering program there gave him a broader understanding of the field. Other notable experiences are headed up the local chapter of Engineers Without Borders. A summer internship in Miami, FL with IBA Consultants testing building exteriors. Most remaining breaks from classes were spent as a carpenter with SBC in Bozeman.
In 2007 Galen moved to Jackson, WY and began working for Jorgensen Engineering where he earned his Professional Engineer’s License. His 11 years at Jorgensen brought experience with site design; subdivision layout, grading and erosion control, wastewater, road design, and utility systems. Highlight projects include Shooting Star at Teton Village, Town of Jackson water tanks on the Elk Refuge and Snow Kind, and the Walgreen’s Land slide.
In addition to Engineering in Jackson, Galen still maintains a connection with his family farm by selling its Maple Syrup in Jackson. He is also still involved in the the farm’s Christmas Tree business. Galen also Volunteers with Teton County Search and Rescue where he currently serves as the planning advisor. Galen also Volunteers with Snow King Ski Patrol, where he teaches Avalanche classes.
